08 Acura RDX and EVO-ONE+ Thar-HON1

0 votes
I installed the EVO-ONE in my 2008 Acura RDX with the T-Harness. I programmed the options for the EVO-ONE for the 3x lock to remote start. When I hit Lock 3x on my factory transmitter nothing happens.

I was able to program the EVO-ONE and it took with no problems but nothing happens when I hit Lock 3x on the factory transmitter.

What could be the problem?

Thank you everyone

Did you cut the YELLOW LOOP wire on the side of the unit?

Did you go through the all the programming steps without any issues?

Does the BLUE led flash on the top of the Evo One unit when you press lock on your oem remote?

Yes I cut the yellow wire. I went through all the programming steps with no problems. No the blue LED does not blink when I press the factory remote.
Your vehicle is not listed to support 3x lock application. You will need a compatible rf-kit with aftermarket remotes to remote start your vehicle.
Ok... I have a kit already... Do I need the brain from the kit or can I just use the antenna and remotes?

I have a Compustar kit. Would that work?
You will need a RF converter.

You should contact your supplier about this.
which compustar rf kit do you have? does it have a 4 wire antenna connector?
Yes it has the 4 wire antenna... Can I just follow the link above?

Yes if you have a Firstech RF kit with a 4 wire antenna connector, follow the guide above and don't forget to REPIN the wires on one side of the antenna connector and follow the guide on how to enable the RF kit in the Evo One and how to program the remotes

Awesome thank you everyone for the help... I will be doing that later... I will post again and let everyone know how it went
Ok guys... I did exactly what you all told me to do... I followed the guide above by switching the 4 wire around... I did that on both ends. It didn't work at all... I tried programming the remotes and that didn't work... I programmed the module and that took just fine. What else can I do?

ONE END ONLY!

you do not need to do the pin swap on both ends, only the side going into the Evo

Ok I'll switch it back... I did have the antenna repinned on the one side going into the EVO abd it still did not work.
At this point it will be hard to tell if you did not damage the RF kit by re pinning the side that goes into the antenna. There is 12v power and ground on that cable that needs to go to the right pin on the antenna's circuit board...
Damn... Ok thanks for the help
