2005 Honda Pilot EVO-ONE Omega OL-RF-15-SST no remote start

0 votes

Hello,

Ive installed an EVO-ONE with Omega OL-RF-15-SST RF Kit into my 2005 Honda Pilot and i have been unable to get the remote start feature to work. Lock/Unlock functionality work using the Omega remote and when i initiate the remote start function, the remote chimes to indicate it transmitted the remote start signal and the lights on my car flash 3 times and the red led on the EVO unit lights up for a second or 2 then goes out but nothing at all happens after that.

Update: After switching from bypass firmware 73.39 and 73.28 the remotes no longer work and the valet switch no longer works either, so i can try to reconfigure the rf kit. I dunno if my unit has a bug and needs to be master reset or what. I also have no rf kit options other than Fortin RF Kits, if that makes any difference. I have tried the suggested remote starter firmware and the OM 0.44 formware for Omega RF kits to no avail. any help would be appreciated.

Two different things going on here

1- Reflashing a different bypass firmware will require that the module be reprogrammed to the car.

2- The EVO-ONE will not allow going into RF programming when it is in an armed state (last command received was lock). To disarm it, either press unlock on the remotes or turn ignition ON then press the valet button 3 times.

I appreciate the reply Robert. I reprogrammed the module to the car, the main issue is that the valet switch no longer works. I'll try reprogramming it again and see if anything changes. Thx
With the car off, is the RED LED on the back of the unit flashing slowly? Its the red LED near the yellow loop, NOT the one on top of the module.

Also, that yellow loop wire needs to be cut for automatic transmission cars.
Yea, the yellow wire is cut.

The red light by the yellow wire is solid red.

I reprogrammed the module to the car and the valet switch still doesnt work. I believe when i was working on the car the other day, i did arm the system using the omega remote and unlocked the car with the oem remote but since the omega remotes no longer work, i cant disarm the module. I tried enabling OEM remote control via flashlink but that didnt seem to do anything.
I was finally able to get the module disarmed and get it back into the mode to re-pair the RF Kit to the module but nothing happens when pressing the Omega buttons, i kind of think its doing this because it was paired before. I reflashed from 73.28 back to 73.39 to see if that would make a difference but no dice. I will troubleshoot the issue more tomorrow.
RED LED on solid means the remote starter is in valet mode, it's turned OFF.

To exit valet mode, turn ignition on then press valet button 3 time.
I was able to get it out of valet mode yesterday and it is now responding correctly when i press and hold the valet button > then press 5 times and press the brake pedal but the Omega remotes are not pairing for some reason. Nothing at all happens when pressing the buttons on the remotes. The process worked fine prior to loading a different bypass firmware and i tried reloading the firmware it initially worked with aswell to rule that out.

I still havent been able to get this to work. ill try some of the different firmwares this weekend and hopefully one of them will work. can i get the flash limit reset please?
