2002 Ford Windstar EVO-ALL

+1 vote
Using an evo-all to do pats bypass in a 02 windstar. Followed the programming procedure for 40 bit 2 key. When I enganed the remote start at the last part of programming the led flashes 10 times indicating that it was programmed correctly. The problem is that the engine will not fire it just cranks as if the pats isn't bypassed. However after hitting the brake shut down and trying a normal remote start the bypass functions properly and the vehicle starts and runs. The vehicle not firing during programming led me to believe the bypass wasn't programmed when it actually was. I suspect there is something wrong in the evo firmware. Evo service id is 001a06 242668

I normally use the Evo-Ride for a Ford PATS bypass only install, and that is the normal programming function for that.  During initial programming the vehicle will not start, but LED will blink 10x, push brake to cancel remote start.  Will work fine after that.  It is stated in the Evo-Ride manual also, not sure why it's not in your manual.  Probably the same for the Evo-All since you flashed it for that vehicle.  You are good to go if it works after initial programming and should have no problems.
