Toyota remotes don't work with the vehicle running.

hello, i was able to speak to a Fortin representative that returned my call anf they advised that it should??
When you press unlock while the truck is remote started does the blue led flash on the evo?
Yes sir, red and orange light are on, then blue will flash when unlock or lock is pressed on the OEM remote and the parking and dash lights blink twice.
so when the truck is remote started the blue led flashes twice with unlock?
Yes, two quick blue led flashes when i press UNLOCK and the parking lights flash twice.

Now the horn has stared to honk every few remote starts....not every time. D2 option is enabled

I noticed that after i end the remote session witg  3X LOCK on th OEM fob , my parking lights flask 3 times??
If the blue led is flashing when the truck is running but the truck does not unlock...the vehicle is ignoring our code we sent on can...for this you can try downgrading the firmware, reprogram the module and retest.
I have changed the firmware a few time, i did not do the the Key Bypass Programming Procedure each time only once after a Master Rest.  Any idea on why horn honks from time to time?  thank you for your help!!!
what was the solution here? having the same problem with my 2015.
latest firmware, 79.44 +++

double check/test/redo the door lock data connection

I've tried every firmware I could think of and still no luck. For some reason the key fobs are disabled when the truck is running through the remote start system.

2015 Tundra Platinum
this is still happening for me too. 2015 platinum CM. firmware 79.49. also, alarm goes off even with D2 set to ON.
i got my horn to work but could never get the doors to unlock after started remotely.

did you guys ever get a fix?

i fixed my non-functional door locks on my 2017 tundra by removing the oem remote start

SOLVED. so in the end, i did a ton of searching on line and inquiring to Fortin to figure this out. its quite simple. after removing most of the bottom of the dash including the lower steering column, heater controls , glove box, kick panels, radio/nav unit and pass side airbag (did not unplug anything), i located the remote start unit (RES) on the pass side , on the left behind the glove box. unplugged this unit and just followed its (RES) harness. it went to the pass side kick panel where i unplugged it from the bunch of plugs in there. there was a gray plug there that fit into the socket i had pulled the (RES) harness from. i then followed the harness in the opposite direction towards the console. At the heater blower, there is a black box that the (RES) harness is plugged into. unplug that and the other white 3 pin connector.(pink wires). just leave that one hanging there. not required anymore. keep following the (RES) harness up and behind the radio. there is a black socket taped to a harness. it has a plug on the left that is a T from the RES harness. it has a bunch of yellow wires coming from it. unplug that T and join the two black plugs together. now for the steering column. the RES harness is plugged into your ignition (key) plug. the original plug is zip tied to the column. they look identical. just swap them.
there now everything is back to a non-oem remote start truck. you can easily install and program your Fortin evo one and now the door locks will activate with your fob.
