02 accord intermittent crank and no start

+1 vote
Hello, installed an Autostart AS-1780 and HONDA SL3 into a 2002 Honda Accord, V6, auto.  Installation and programming seemed to go well.  Wired the SL3 as per diagram #2 on installation guide.  Used blue wire from tach test plug behind battery as per autostart wiring guide. Vehicle started great the first few times after the tach learn but will often crank and not start while flashing the KEY icon on instrument cluster. Firmware in SL3 is 4.03. switched bypass protocol on autostart to "FORTIN", didnt make any difference.  Hooked up battery charger,(even though battery was at 12.5v) didnt change anything.  Watching the red LED on the SL3 while attempting to remote start, LED comes on a few seconds before cranking and is solid during cranking. I tried programming the SL3 again and it worked exactly as the instructions read and would start immediately after programming a few times and then go back to not starting/only cranking and ocassionally starting normal as it should. Any ideas? Thanks, Mike.

Probably a datalink problem, cut the blue and white wire in the datalink cable.
