Which connection for a 2011 ford focus

+1 vote
I am installing a compustar ft7200s with a evo all on a 2011 ford focus. I referenced the fit guide and it suggests I use guide 3318 with connection 4. connection 4 is for 80 bit keys. The guide shows the 2011 focus key being a 40bit key. Should I use connection 4 for the 80bit key or should I use connection 3 that is for 40bit keys.

Good catch! it's a typo in the compatibility chart from the previous revision of the guide. I'll send a request to get it changed. Follow Connection 3 (you will need to update your module for this connection) and programming 3 (2-key) or 6 (1-key w/ Dcryptor).

Here's the current status of your EVO-ALL (as per the sticker on the back of the evo-all) . Connection 3 of guide 3318 says minimum firmware 71.11. The update allows control of the factory alarm if the car is equipped with one.
