System unreliable in warm outside temperatures

0 votes
I have been experiencing issues with the reliability of engine start after car exposure to warmer external temperatures.

While the starter operates perfectly after the car spent the night in a garage, trying to start it after some hours in the Virgina afternoon sun leaves me with no engine cranking and a Vehicle Anti Theft message.

Any ideas?

Hi Hank,

Can you give me a little more information on the unit that is installed in the vehicle and what type of installation was done.

Our modules were tested to 105 degrees celcius or 221 degrees fahrenheit with no issues reported aside from the actual module casing showing slight melting.from the extreme heat.

Thank you,
