Installation Setup

I've searched all over the site for these questions but can't seem to find them. I'm in the process of ordering the Evo One for a 2013 RAM 1500 with tip start. No factory alarm. I like the feature of your product having a built in alarm. My question is what else will I need to wire this up? Will it work as the truck's horn as the alarm? Will I have to splice anything? I'd hate to cut any wires which is why I liked your product. But if I have to I will. I just want to be prepared ahead of time.

I will also be purchasing Text2Car but I see the wiring setup for that already. Any other configurations that i'd need to do to the Evo to set that up?

Forgot to add, is there any idicator light I can add to the vehicle to show the alarm is armed so it's visible to anyone looking in? I know other alarms have that option. If I can wire one up for this it'd be a nice addition.

Thank you.

You can actually use the EVO-ALL for all this since the EVO-ALARM feature can be used on that vehicle. It will work off the oem remote and / or the Text2Car. Both remote starter and alarm will be functional. Both install guides are available online.

The EVO-ONE guide that comes in the box has the programming options and basic schematic of the outputs of the EVO-ONE (such as the horn/siren).

With either the EVO-ALL or EVO-ONE, the confirmation chirps can either be through the vehicles horn or through an aftermarket siren (sold separatly). To use the factory horn, connections are required to the vehicles horn circuit using the outputs on the unit.

As for the LED. There is no ouput dedicated for LEDs. This is taking into consideration that an RF-KIT would most likely be added and the antenna would have an integrated LED.

Thank you for clearing that up for me. Another question in regards to a gps unit. I was origianally looking at text2car but ran into anther one called Anywhere G2 from Connect2car. Will this unit be able to hook up to fortrin one? The main part I'm looking for to work is gps and remote vehicle shutdown. Or do you know of any other unit that can do both?
