why do the factory keyfobs deprogram after installing evo one in a 2011 subaru imprezza with standard key?

I installed an evo-one (no t-harness) in a 2011 subaru imprezza, standard key.

after programming and install, the factory remotes deprogrammed and would not work. I had to start the car on both keys to reprogram them.

The same thing happened three days later.

Hello,

The only thing related to the OEM remotes in the installation is the door lock data connection. If this wire became open the OEM remotes would stop working all together.

Starting the vehicle with a key does not program the fob. If that was the case, you could program unlimited keys/fobs to the vehicle by simply cutting a key and starting the car, which is not the case.

I have no reports of such an issue in our DB with these vehicles, the solution has been on the markte for over a decade.

I would suggest revisit your install ensuring that there are no bent pins, loose connector and harnesses were routed properly.

Best regards.
