cant find the violet wire in the t-harness

bought the plug & play for 08 grand cheroke i cant find the violet wire in the t harness.do i use the purple in the 12 pin? also it is saying that the hood pin & parking lights are optional which i dont plan to use do i stil need to ground the grey wire, do i need to hook up parking lights?

Hi Michael, What is the service number of the EVO, and which T-Harness do you have? do i stil need to ground the grey wire Hood Pin is a recommended to prevent damage to anyone working on your engine! So as long as the hood is opened (hood pin grounded), the remote starter would not work. do i need to hook up parking lights? Parking lights are more of a visual to know when the vehicle is running. It's also mandatory in some areas to have some kind of visual that the vehicle is running.
