Is the remote start tied into the glow plugs so the vehicle will start when they heat up enoug?

Ihave a ram 2500 with the 6.7 diesel. Will evo start the truck only after the glow plug light turns off? I will have this installed down south where is warmer and glow plugs take a shorter time to warm and then move north where there are harsh winters. I just want to ensure the plugs are given the correct amount of time to heat up for a proper start.

Depends on the year of the RAM. Some vehicles we monitor the glow plug on the Can-Bus, others you simply use the Diesel timer which is about 10 seconds. Meaning that ignition will stay on for 10 seconds before crank.
