Mazda3 2020 cannot unlock doors after remote start

Question

I have a Mazda3 2020 with push-to-start. Installed is an EVO-ALL and I have a modified key with a Fortin RM9MA. Up until recently, if I remote started the vehicle, I could then use my OEM or RM9MA key to unlock the doors. Now, once the vehicle is remote started, I cannot unlock the doors with either remote. The lights flash, and the gas cover locks/unlocks, but the doors remain locked.

Sometimes, if I turn off the vehicle using the key, I can then unlock the doors, but most of the time they still stay locked. I have had to use the emergency physical key to gain access to the car on multiple occasions. Please advise on troubleshooting steps.
