2010 HONDA RIDGELINE

Question

evo one, wire to wire, connected all wires used guide # 86261. Programming problem, after the 10x red flashes the light shuts off and does not turn to blue. Checked all the wirings and they all got good contact. Also tried a different unit and same results. I did the troubleshooting guides and its mentioning the yellow wire on the 20 pin connector to ignition? which on the guide i used does not show use for that yellow wire.

Are you holding the button down when you plug in the four pin connector first all the other connectors need to be unplugged and then hold down the button and plug it in and wait till the light turns blue and then let go this has nothing to do with wiring this only requires a power and ground
